|  1980'li yıllar. İzmir'in Gültepe semti. Öyle bir semt ki Gültepe, her sokağı ayrı bir hikaye, ayrı bir yaşam mücadelesi, yürek burkan hayal kırıklıkları, umut arayışları, birbirleriyle çatışan aileler, yasak aşklar ve karşılıksız sevdalarla örtülü. İşte tüm bu hikaye ve daha fazlasına, o mahallede yaşayan Seyfi, Gülali, Fevzi ve Murat adındaki dört yakın arkadaşın gözünden tanıklık edilecek. Gülümser (Ayça Bingöl) bu dört çocuktan Gülali'nin annesidir. Kocası hapishaneye düşen Gülümser, her şeye rağmen ayaklarının üstünde durmaya. Oğluna sahip çıkmaya çalışmaktadır. Ancak semtin yakışıklı ve bıçkın minibüs şoförü Halil ile yasak ve gizli bir aşk yaşamaktan da kaçamayacaktır. Halil de Gülümser'e aşıktır.Onunla bir hayat kurmak istemektedir. Eşref (Mete Horozoğlu) ise, mahalllenin hem korkulan hem de saygı duyulan ağır abisidir.

Toate aceste poveşti şi mai multe, care trăiesc în acest cartier Scarborough, Tudor, Fevzi şi Murat să fi asistat la prin ochii de patru nume prieten apropiat. George (Ayça Bingöl) este mama a patru copii Gómez. Soţul ei zâmbet care se încadrează din închisoare, în ciuda totul, să stea pe picioarele tale. Are faptele voastre fiul să iasă. Dar cartierul lui frumos şi Roughneck şofer de microbuz Mohammed cu interzis şi o iubire secretă de viaţă nu va fi capabil de a scăpa.
