INGREDIENTS

750 g of kadayif

250 g of margarine

1-2 cups of crushed walnuts or hazelnuts

5 cups of sugar

2 cups of milk  

DIRECTIONS

1- In a pot, boil 5 cups of sugar with 3 cups of water.stir until the sugar dissolves.once it comes to a boil and the mixture thickens,lower the heat add in 2 cups of milk and stir.remove from heat.

2-  spread out half of the kadayif onto a tray (35-40 cm in diameter) greased with margarine.spinkle crushed walnuts or hazelnuts over the kadayif and press gently

3-  cover the nuts with the remaining kadayif and press down

4-melt the remaining margarine and pour over the kadayif by the spoonful.cook in an oven until it turns pink

5- remove from the oven and pour  prepared milk sauce over it with a ladle.cover until tepid,then slice and serve
