Biografie
Data naşterii: 29 August 1972 ( Fecioară)
Locul naşterii: Seoul, Korea
Nascut in Mapo-gu, Seoul, fiul lui Bae Yung (배영) si Song Ki-Ok (송기옥, 宋基 玉), el a urmat cursurile Il-mun Preschool si Myung-il Elementary School . In copilarie, Bae a fost un baiat foarte linistit, cu putini prieteni. Si-a continuat studiile la Baejae Middle School si Hanyoung High School.
A debutat in 1994, dupa absolvirea liceului, cu filmul Ppil Ku. In 1995 a fost distribuit in dramele Tv Salut D'Amour si Six Steps to Separation.
A avut succes intr-un rol secundar din filmul Sunny Place of the Young, alaturi de Lee Jong Won, apoi a plecat la studii. A absolvit Facultatea de Film, Televiziune si Multimedia la Sung Kyun Kwan University in 2001 si a revenit pe micul ecran, in filmul Hotelier.
Rolul care l-a consacrat l-a avut in Winter Sonata, tot la televiziune, devenind admirat si in Japonia cu interpretarea personajului Kang Jun. Succesul sau a continuat cand a jucat in Untold Scandal, rolul lui Jo Won Cho.
In 2004 a realizat o biografie in imagini si a realizat un turneu in Taiwan, Singapore si Malaezia. La intoarcerea in Japonia era asteptat de aproape 5000 de fani. Tot din 2004 este imaginea lantului de pizzerii japoneze Pizza-La.
A aparut in numeroase reclame la televiziunea japoneza si coreeana, pentru filme renumite ca Loreal, Ray Ban, LG, Coca-Cola, etc. Detine o mare parte (circa 37%) din actiunile firmei coreene Ottowintech, care ii aduce venituri uriase.
