Plot

Wang So (Jang Hyuk) is the Prince of Goryeo. He had a lonely childhood, due to his cursed fate. As he grew up, he realized his talent to become a King. Wang So looks bright, but he has a wounded mind. One day, he meets Shin Yool (Oh Yeon-Seo), who is the Last Princess of Balhae. She was born with the fate of becoming the light for another country. Because of her fate, she faces death. Through a one night marriage, Wang So and Shin Yool become connected and grow to love each other.

Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo to star in ‘Shine or Go Crazy’



With MBC TV new Mon-Tue drama ‘Pride and Prejudice’ getting off to a great start this week with good ratings and rave reviews, the television station has now announced that ‘Shine and Go Crazy’ will be the follow-up drama which will premiere in January 2015.

‘Shine or Go Crazy‘ is a fiction fantasy romance sageuk adapted from a novel of the same name. It is set in the early Goryeo period, and depicts the love story between a Goryeo king, Wang So, and the last princess of Balhae, Shin Yul.

The early period of the Goryeo dynasty haven’t really been adapted into dramas. Wang So is enveloped in in power struggle in the early period of the Goryeo dynasty, while Shin Yul has to face up against a mighty force, and the two are expected to light up the drama in their own ways.

The two have a ‘one-night marriage’ which makes them inseparable, and they begin their love story from hence on. Wang So is loosely based modeled after the fourth king of Goryeo who was posthumously known as Gwangjong. Gwangjong was a king who instituted a number of reforms in early Goryeo, and was a pivotal figure in ensuring the stability of the nation and society. But he also carried out a number of bloody purges in the name of strengthening royal authority, and was thus nicknamed as the ‘crazy king.’

‘Shine or Go Crazy’ will depict the life of Gwangjong before he takes the throne, and will be a fictionalized story that incorporates a love story along the way. The drama will also show Gwangjong’s ability to rule as a king, and how he understands himself in the process, and the drama is expected to draw in viewers from all age groups.

Shin Yul meanwhile will be unlike the usual passive woman roles in sageuk. Shin Yul positively sets out to shape her own destiny, and is also adept at crafting schemes to go up against strong foes, and is regarded as an outstanding Balhae heroine.

Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo confirmed for drama 'Shine or Go Crazy'

ctor Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo will be uniting for new MBC Monday and Tuesday drama, 'Shine or Go Crazy (working title)'!


According to multiple broadcasting reps, the two participated in the first script reading for the drama that took place recently and will soon engage in official filming.


The drama depicts a fantasy romance between Princess Shin Yool (Oh Yeon Seo) and Prince Wang So, who was born cursed after a prophecy was made that he would turn the country into a sea of blood.

A rep from Oh Yeon Seo's agency stated, "Oh Yeon Seo decided to be cast as the character Shin Yool. We expect that she will again garner popularity through her outstanding acting skills and her transformed character through the first highly anticipated production of 2015, MBC's 'Shine or Go Crazy.'"


Jang Hyuk's agency rep stated, "He is trying another periodical production through 'Shine or Go Crazy.' He will begin with the script reading before engaging in full-scale filming."


The drama will replace 'Pride and Prejudice' in January, 2015! Get excited for the dramas that will be starting off the new year!

Jang Hyuk, Oh Yeon Seo in as  Destined lovers



MBC TV drama (Monday and Tuesday Broadcast) "Shine or Go Crazy" finalized its hero and heroine, played by Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo as Goryeo prince and  the last princess of Balhae .

"Shine or Go Crazy" is adapted from the same novel with the same name. In  early era of Goryeo about a the cursed prince accidental encounter with the abandoned princess of Balhae

Although the  story line would be magical and colorful, Jang Hyuk will act as the 4th generation of Goryeo era, From young he was cursed and grow up as as  lonely child. He grew and become someone who found his talent and has a cheerful bright personality. Despite all that ,he  hid a deep pain inside his heart that can't be erased . With  Superior martial arts,  romantic, and sentimental prince  character , this drama will definitely show a new side of Jang Hyuk.

Jang Hyuk who has not filmed saeguk drama for 4 years was very nervous but he said that he will film with pleasure and utmost effort.

The prince lover, Balhae princess is a tragic figure who was expelled  by her family. Although she was ill fated, she is a  female lead with lively ,cheerful personality, and a clever mind. She  holds a role as the leader of Balhae and is different from other saeguk weak female lead character.

Oh Yeon Seo who played a major role in "Jang Bori is Here!" will act as a brave female lead who strives to create her own destiny. Oh Yeon Seo said that she is very honored to be able to act with such excellent actors.  best director , and cast members. Hoping to cooperate and create a wonderful work.

Im Joo-hwan to star in "Shine or Go Crazy"



Actor Im Joo-hwan is starring in the new MBC drama "Shine or Go Crazy".

This will be his first drama in a year.

"Shine or Go Crazy" is based on an original romance historical. It's based in the early times of the Koryeo about the Imperial Prince called Wang So (Jang Hyeok) and princess Sin Yool (Oh Yeon-seo).

Im Joo-hwan takes on the role of the son of King Wang Gun's fourth wife and second in line to the throne. He is good looking, intelligent and a master of martial arts. He has been through the complete process of prince education as well.

He will come into conflict with step brother Wang So and Sin Yool for the throne.

In Joo-hwan said, "This is my first drama in a year. It's a new challenge for me and I hope you will support me until the end".

Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon Seo pair up for fantasy romance sageuk ‘Shine Or Go Crazy’

Looks like Jang Hyuk is following in her last costar Jang Nara‘s footsteps as he has signed on his next project so soon after wrapping up Fated To Love You (yay!) and secondly, it’s an MBC drama (she is currently starring in MBC comedy Mr. Back). The drama Shine Or Go Crazy is a sageuk with romance and fantasy as main themes. It is a love story between a Goryeo king and the last princess of Balhae and it is based on a novel, so we can hope for a decent script for the show. Jang Hyuk plays Wang So, who suffers from a curse and Oh Yeon Seo has been confirmed to play the princess of a lost nation. I have only seen her in few episodes of Baby Faced Beauty, where she played Jang Nara’s sister. Now that’s an interesting coincidence! I found her okay-ish there but I guess she has improved a lot since then as she has now catapulted to play leading roles. Her last drama Jang Bori Is Here was a massive hit with ratings reaching 35% (it was a weekender). The drama also stars Ryu Seung Soo (Wonderful Season) and Im Joo Hwan (Ugly Alert).

I loved Jang Hyuk in FTLY and I’m excited to see him in his next project, especially when it’s a historical drama as most of the viewers’ most favorite role of his was in Chuno and later he also starred in highly acclaimed sageuk Tree With Deep Roots. Hence it’s understandable that fandom is going crazy for Shine Or Go Crazy (which honestly is a funny title and I can’t think anything serious associated with it). The direction is by the PD of shows like Two Weeks and Personal Preference. It will follow Pride And Prejudice (which is performing well in the ratings by the way) as the next Monday-Tuesday drama with a plan to start from January.

Honey Lee courted to be Jang Hyuk’s queen in Shine or Go Crazy



I never really thought twice about Honey Lee until her current role in the comically ridiculous rockers-on-the-homestead drama Modern Farmer, but I have so much love for actresses who are willing to put aside their vanity for comedy, which is what she’s doing to great effect. It’s why I’m not necessarily happy that she might go back to darker roles in her next project, since she’s considering MBC’s next Monday-Tuesday drama, Shine or Go Crazy. Okay, so the role also calls for her to marry Jang Hyuk (Fated To Love You)… so maybe the answer is, Who cares about the other stuff when you get to marry Jang Hyuk?

The fantasy historical drama is set in early Goryeo, and is based on real-life historical figures, but drawn with broad, fanciful strokes. Jang Hyuk plays Wang So, son of King Taejo, who founded the Goryeo dynasty. Wang So will eventually be the fourth king of the nation (later known as King Gwangjong), but we’ll meet him as a prince with a dark curse hanging over him, predicting the destruction of the country at his hands.

Oh Yeon-seo (Jang Bori Is Here) has been cast as his great love, and she’s the last princess of Balhae, a dying nation at the time of the story. Their star-crossed love story is represented in the title, since she’s literally the light that keeps him from going crazy. Co-starring are Ryu Seung-soo (Wonderful Season) and Im Joo-hwan (Watch Out For Fools).

Honey Lee is being courted to play Jang Hyuk’s queen, his half-sister princess. Wait, he marries his half-sister? Sigh, royals. This part is accurate historically, since Gwangjong was married to his half-sister Queen Daemok. Her character is described as the prettiest woman in the entire country, and she’s also bright, cool-headed, and knows how to make poison. Hm, doesn’t that seem like a dangerous skill to give your second lead?

After being married to the hero, she’ll pour all her effort into winning his love, which of course puts her at odds with the Balhae princess. She’s an ambitious woman who will become the heroine’s greatest foe. It’s the kind of role Honey Lee has done more of in her past dramas, and while I do get why people keep casting her as the femme fatale, I hope more rom-coms are in her future too.

Shine or Go Crazy follows Pride and Prejudice in January.

Atunci deabia voi   urmari serialul de pe National tv.
Sper sa pastreze cei de la National bunul obicei si sa cumpere seriale noi in continuare...
Pe Tvr 2 dau acum dar la o ora imposibila(4,20 am) Impotriva sortii ...si cam atat...
Si uite asa , dupa cum spui si tu vom ajunge sa vedem serialele coreene doar pe internet...
Vom urmari  la  tv seriale turcesti , vad ca si Protv cumpara seriale turcesti...

Da, vor da Sila, serial pe care il asteptam demult...macar atata veste buna sa fie, dupa ce m-a dezamagit Euforia...nu stiu de ce au luat decizia asta, poate n-or fi avut audiente grozave serialele coreene, dar cu siguranta nici serialele americane(unele repetate) pe care le dau, nu fac cine stie ce rating-uri, iar coreenele aveau publicul lor oricum...in fine, ei pierd prin decizia asta, mie imi pare rau doar pentru tata ca se mai uita si el la cate o drama la tv( pe net nu urmareste) si in situatia lui sigur mai sunt si alte persoane, ca noi ne putem uita pe net fara probleme.

Nu-mi vine să cred ce spuneți despre Euforia.  Cum să nu mai dea seriale coreene?!
Nu contest ceea ce scrieți, în spatele unui zvon poate să fie o situație adevărată și nu m-ar mira din partea lor să se întâmple ceva de genul. Dar chiar mă necăjește tare vestea asta.
Să sperăm totuși că pauza va fi doar pentru perioada de după sărbători.

La ”Heirs” nu mă voi uita nici acum. Nu l-am văzut încă, dar nu vreau să-l văd, nu mă prea atrage subiectul.
Nici ora nu-mi convine. Oricum l-aș găsi pe net pe mai multe situri dacă m-aș hotărâ să-l vizionez.
